Sr. Planner

Job Title: Turnaround Planning and Scheduling Specialist

Objective: To meticulously plan, schedule, and oversee turnaround activities while prioritizing safety as the foremost concern. Provide guidance to subcontractors and schedulers as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate detailed job plans prioritizing safety protocols.
• Utilize P6 software to develop, analyze, and optimize both unit and comprehensive schedules.
• Allocate resources effectively throughout the planning and scheduling process, from initial work list creation to post-project evaluation.
• Validate resource needs across the entire event, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor critical and sub-critical paths throughout the event, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
• Assess progress performance and forecasts, addressing productivity concerns as needed.
• Determine event duration considering schedule analysis, potential risks, and contingency plans.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and assist with detailed reporting.
• Coordinate external fabrication activities.
• Verify purchase order changes, field adjustments, and material requisitions.
• Develop bid specifications, assist with procurement processes, and validate purchase requisitions.
• Maintain and update databases to support turnaround operations.

Position Requirements:

• Proficiency in refinery safe operation procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of turnaround planning, scheduling, and estimating principles.
• Advanced computer skills including Primavera P6, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with procurement, accounting, contracting, and QA/QC procedures.
• Understanding of basic process unit operations and equipment.
• Strong meeting facilitation skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
