About the Role

MEI, a Mankato based commercial elevator manufacturing and service company, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This multi-faceted position assisting with field support, new product design and automation assistance.


Responsibilities

·        Read, interpret, and analyze technical specifications and drawings/plans

·        New product development

·        Designing elevator equipment using 3D modeling with AutoDesk Inventor

·        Creation of manufacturing drawings

·        Interfacing with manufacturing on manufacturability of designs

·        Bill of Material creation

·        Manufacturing automation development

·        Execute additional tasks as needed


Experience

·        Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering

·        Knowledge of 2D and 3D drafting

·        Understanding of Autodesk Inventor or equivalent parametric engineering software

·        Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)


Skills

·        Good mechanical/technical aptitude

·        Detail oriented and organized

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Team player with a positive attitude

·        Ability to multi-task/prioritize workload
