East Bay National law firm seeks a Litigation Paralegal to assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases. They will conduct initial case investigations, draft legal documents such as pleadings and motions, maintain case files, prepare for depositions and court proceedings and also assist during trials. Practice area: Personal Injury, Toxic Tort, General Liability, Construction Defect. This is a hybrid role with in-office requirements. Please do not apply if you are not local to the area.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting factual and legal research.
  2. Drafting basic litigation documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, and discovery requests.
  3. Managing case files and assist in trial preparation.
  4. Coordinating and managing document production.
  5. Assisting with the preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations, and motions.
  6. Preparing and maintaining tracking and management systems.
  7. Assisting in depositions, witness preparation, and research.
  8. Organizing case files, including all documents and correspondence.
  9. Liaising between trial teams and internal/external third parties.
  10. Collecting and analyzing information relevant to cases.


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  1. Paralegal certification or equivalent relevant experience.
  2. Strong research, administrative and reporting skills.
  3. Excellent communication, writing and negotiation skills.
  4. Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  5. A good understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.
  6. Proficiency in legal research software and MS Office.
  7. Discretion and respect for confidentiality and attorney-client privilege.
