Job Description:

Avina is looking for a candidate committed to excellence, integrity, and collaboration. This role requires the candidate to work closely with senior leaders of the organization within various areas of strategy & business development. The ideal candidate would have a proven track record of excellence and a significant interest in strategy and business development. Experience in oil & gas or renewable energy markets preferred.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret business, market, and financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate essential themes and discoveries to company leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

-         Create, update, and maintain new market entry business models;

-         Prepare marketing materials, pitches, teasers, and various presentations;

-         Interface with other industry professionals and consultants in evaluating hydrogen and renewable energy trends;

-         Become a central person in all areas of corporate strategy;

-         Support ongoing analyses of recent events, transactions, and trends within the hydrogen, renewable power, energy, and utility sector

- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, identify key trends, and assess potential risks and opportunities.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment of financial goals with overall business objectives.

- Conduct comprehensive market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, and potential areas for growth.

- Assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and investment opportunities.

- Evaluate capital allocation strategies and investment opportunities to optimize the company's financial resources and maximize shareholder value.

- Prepare presentations and reports for executive leadership, board meetings, investors, and other stakeholders to effectively communicate financial and strategic insights.


Minimum Qualifications

-         Fundamental understanding of strategy, preferably at tier 1 strategic consulting firms

-         Strong analytical abilities, including basic financial modeling skills

-         Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to connect with different internal teams and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.

-         Detail-oriented and thorough


Other Qualifications

-         A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

-         Two years of oil & gas, renewable energy development, consulting, or similar experience preferred

-         Experience in oil & gas or power markets, power project finance, trading/marketing, or corporate finance viewed favorably

-         Experience in or knowledge of the oil &gas, renewable power industry, and/or ongoing energy transition in the U.S. is a plus

-         Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, as well as with business intelligence software and software tools, generally is a bonus

- Proven experience 5-years in finance, strategy, investment banking, consulting, or a related field, with a strong track record of financial analysis and strategic planning.

- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.

- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with a deep understanding of financial principles, valuation techniques, and market dynamics.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.

- Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented approach, capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
