Abbot’s is seeking an Associate Manager, Brand Content & Social Media to own all aspects of brand content expression and social media management. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Associate Manager, Brand Content & Social Media is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of content strategy for our company across all owned platforms (social media, email, SMS, website, blog, etc.). 


The successful candidate will be a creative, growth-oriented, and organized individual who is able to combine a deep understanding of our brand equity with their talent in creating, planning, and managing compelling content that drives engagement, growth, and excitement for our brand. 


The ideal candidate is a brand storyteller, self-starter, creative problem solver, and is excited about owning both strategy and execution of content and social media with a fast-growing, mission-driven food company. 


In this role, you’ll get to:


Content Creation, Planning & Management 


  • Imagine and execute industry-leading content ideas and plans that are on-brand and add value to our audience. 
  • Own from concept to completion content strategies and planning. 
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendars, social media content calendars and content production schedules.
  • Plan, create and maintain visual content (static, video) and copy for social media, our website, blog, email, and recipes.  
  • Work closely with content creators, influencers, ambassadors, and chefs/partners to create content that inspires consumers with the joy of cooking. 
  • Manage internal content studio, produce and capture content on an ongoing basis 
  • Bring your love of storytelling and copywriting to create engaging copy on social media, email and blogs. 
  • Monitor and analyze content performance, providing data-driven insights to improve content.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new platforms and tools,  and best practices, and identify opportunities for improvement.


Influencer & Social Media Planning & Management


  • Evolve and drive the strategy and execution of the brand’s social channels. 
  • Build an engaging brand presence on Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube and more.
  • Own strategy and execution of the brand’s influencer and ambassador programs.
  • Manage Community Engagement resources and foster 2-way conversation with users on Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook.
  • Measure, analyze and recap performance on all social media initiatives.
  • Stay on the cutting edge of industry trends, prominent cultural conversations, new platforms and best practices.


Other marketing duties as assigned.


About you:


  • You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, influencer marketing, and/or social media management in B2C companies or creative agencies
  • Experience in wellness, beauty, fitness, supplement or CPG industries preferred
  • You like to imagine, experiment with, and take fresh approaches to content, instead of solely relying on existing content trends and approaches. 
  • You have a proven track record of successfully implementing and managing email marketing, SMS marketing experience is a plus
  • Experience producing content across several different channels and platforms including social media (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn), blogs, and emails. You enjoy creating video content yourself (TikTok, Reels, YouTube).
  • Basic understanding of photo editing resources such Photoshop, Lightroom. Knowledge of post-production, including color grading, re-touching and editing. Basic understanding of design resources such as Canva.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational, detail-orientation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • You work well under deadlines, deftly prioritizing and multitasking as needed.
  • You have a passion for food, nutrition, wellness or cooking — you’re at your best when you’re doing what you love and we’re looking for candidates who are excited about our mission.
  • You are a creative thinker who can dig into things to figure it out or get it done. Someone who can take a scrappy approach to achieving objectives. 
  • You are willing to wear different hats —we’re a startup and are looking for candidates who can adapt to evolving market opportunities.



Must be able to be on-site in Costa Mesa, CA 1-2 times per week during business hours.
