Summary

Assists in the production of new accounts and the retention of existing accounts. Provides prompt, efficient, high-quality service to designated accounts in support of Producer activities.


Responsibilities

·        Sort incoming mail on a daily basis.

·        Process endorsements and audits received in daily mail. Attach documents in EPIC and forward them to Account Managers for review as necessary.

·        Process and / or attach all incoming emails and forward emails to Account Managers as necessary.

·        Attach and set follow up activities on pending cancellation notices received in the mail or via email.

·        Issue certificates of insurance and auto ID cards as requested. 

·        Request loss runs from companies as necessary.

·        Provide assistance to Claims Advocate for claims resolution as necessary.

·        Assist Account Managers with data entry on new business and fill in for Account Mangers in their absence.

·        Seek advice from Account Managers on any issues when working on their accounts.

·        Attend webinars and training sessions.

·        Maintain a good working relationship with our company representatives and participate in events/luncheons sponsored by our companies.

·        Responsible for the renewal of designated accounts ninety days prior to renewal and for delivering renewals and/or binders for designated accounts as needed, within five days of receipt.

·        At the direction of Producer, perform special projects at the request of designated clients.

·        At the direction of Producer, obtain all required renewal information from the insured and complete applications for designated renewal business ninety days before renewal date. Assists Producer(s) as needed.

·        Review renewals to determine if policies currently placed in an excess & surplus lines market can be rewritten in a standard program. Prepare rewrite applications for business through companies no longer represented at least 30 days prior to renewal.  

Secure and submit all required renewal underwriting information.

. Expectation is for all changes/requests to be completed within the same day as requested. Acknowledgement of receipt must be given if request cannot be processed same day. All changes/requests must be completed no later than the next day (within 24 hours of receipt).

·        Receive and review all terminations and cancellations to determine appropriate action within 72 hours of receipt.

·        At the direction of Producer, handle premium collection through form letters and request cancellation of policies when necessary.

. Document ALL conversations with insureds and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverages.

. Maintain working knowledge of online rating systems and be proficient in quoting for all standard markets.

·        Perform other functions as assigned by management.


Qualifications

Must be an assertive self-starter with the ability to influence others. Prior successful demonstration of effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communication methods.  College education or equivalent insurance experience required. Property and Casualty license preferred but not required as prerequisite for entry level position. If not already licensed, the expectation is to obtain the necessary licensing within the first year of employment. Ability to use a personal computer, calculator, agency automation system, and demonstrate proficiency in various software programs, including but not limited to all Microsoft Office software suite programs.
