We offer a range of services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, personal training, and group exercise classes. Our specialized programs focus on neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and multiple sclerosis, as well as orthopedic impairments. Our goal is to provide individualized sessions for therapy and training, as well as group sessions for fitness and wellness.
Role Description
This is a contract role for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) at Dr. Physio Therapy & Wellness located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Therapist will be responsible for providing patient care, conducting rehabilitation treatments at the clinic, and offering home care services for adults and older adults with neurological conditions and orthopedics impairments. The role will involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting therapy as needed. This is an on-site role, and the Occupational Therapist Assistant will work directly with patients at our clinic.
Qualifications
- Occupational Therapy skills
- Experience in rehabilitation and patient care
- Knowledge of home care services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with neurological conditions and orthopedic impairments is a plus
- Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant
