Job Summary

Vertis Therapy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Therapist to join our team at our Assisted Living Facility in Ft Wayne, IN. As a Lead Therapist, you will be responsible for leading the therapy team, managing day-to-day operations, and providing patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the therapy team and manage day-to-day operations of the therapy department
  • Supervise therapy staff and coordinate RUG management
  • Provide patient care and ensure rehabilitation services are provided in compliance with Vertis and facility policies and procedures
  • Coordinate resident screening programs and serve as an advocate for meeting the rehabilitation needs of residents
  • Communicate with administration and nursing staff to ensure accurate and timely billing and scheduling
  • Prepare the Rehab Department for a deficiency-free State Survey and act as department representative during the survey process
  • Train staff in Vertis and facility policies and procedures
  • Assist in identifying therapy needs of resident population and lead the therapy team in implementing clinical programs
  • Effectively communicate pertinent information from Vertis management and facility management to the therapy team
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Regional Manager
Requirements
  • Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Current license/certification in the state of Indiana
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitation setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
