Location: Panhandle of Florida


Primary Responsibilities: We are searching for someone with strong leadership and operations experience to come aboard as a Branch Manager to direct the growth and operations of a 30+ person office (with a regionally dominant firm) providing, geotechnical and construction materials testing services in North Florida.


  • Profit/Loss Management: Ensure profitability through effective financial oversight and cost management.
  • Employee Supervision: Direct and support a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Project Management: Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor rigorous quality assurance practices to maintain high standards across all projects.
  • Health and Safety Oversight: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the branch.
  • Client Relations and Development: Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and business development.
  • New Business Development: Lead marketing efforts to expand our client base and secure new business opportunities.
  • Contract and Proposal Review: Review and approve contracts and proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and financial feasibility.
  • Administration and Leadership: Provide leadership to administrative and technical departments, guiding their functions and operations.


Additional Duties:

  • Prepare proposals and reports following company procedures.
  • Monitor project status reports and coordinate with staff to ensure project success.
  • Promote continuous improvement in project quality and operational efficiency.
  • Uphold overall profitability targets for the branch.


Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, materials testing.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role, with strong leadership and organizational skills.
