Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Product Development Manager for personal care products located in Los Angeles, CA. This fast-paced role involves overseeing the full cyle of product development from concept to finished formula while making sure to meet current US, EU and/or customer required compliance.  You will be an integral part of a very small Product Team from inception through to finished product.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our contract manufacturers to formulate cost effective and compliant products.
  • Research the market for new and innovative ingredients, trends, products, etc.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of US and international banned ingredients and regulations in the personal care space.
  • Manage any product and consumer testing
  • Gather required documents and complete product registration and testing
  • Collaborate with our Product Manager and VP of Creative on new product ideas


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of Product Development experience in the personal care industry
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners
  • Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and quality standards related to personal care products
  • Vendor relationships in beauty industry a plus
  • Ability to manage a very high volume of projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, meet deadlines, problem-solve, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail
