Penetration Tester in Mountain View, CA

As a Penetration Tester, you will research new automation tools and refine current tools to the team’s needs, and acting as a centralized QA group to provide quality assessments. This involves creating comprehensive end-to-end test strategies for various Endpoint security solutions developed. This unique role allows for exploration in different technologies and conducting original research in the quality domain.
Responsibilities:
· Develop deep expertise in product solutions, including design/architecture analysis, and perform both white box and black box penetration testing scenarios.
· Plan and conduct penetration tests on web applications, Android platforms, Android apps, backend APIs, and cloud services.
· Simulate known security threats and attack vectors to evaluate system security.
· Foster and maintain internal penetration testing practices within the QA team.
· Develop test harnesses, automation suites, and validate attack vectors in the Threat Lab.
· Log vulnerabilities and oversee their resolution.
· Collaborate closely with program management and security architects, both internally and offshore.
Required Skillset:
· Minimum of 5+ of experience in penetration testing, including at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in Android device penetration testing and 1+ year in cloud penetration testing.
· In-depth knowledge of information security practices, including malware, phishing attacks, attack vectors, and protection methods.
· Possession of offensive security certifications such as OSCP, OSWA, OSWE, PNPT, or BSCP.
· Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C, or any relevant language.
· BS degree is required and a focus in cybersecurity or related disciplines is strongly preferred.
Bonus Skillset:
· Background in endpoint security platforms.
· Participation in cybersecurity competitions or CTFs.
· Published blog posts or walkthroughs on security research, PoCs in the security domain.
· Experience in malware development or reverse engineering.
Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite – 5 days/week).
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months with a possibility of a 12-month extension
