The Orientation Specialist will take the lead in organizing, facilitating, and overseeing our weekly driver orientation classes, delivering crucial information to our drivers and owner-operators. With the ability to broadcast across multiple terminals simultaneously, the Orientation Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring that our orientation program reaches every corner of our organization.


Program Management:

Involves day-to-day management of our orientation program, including:

  • Organize and manage all necessary orientation paperwork and disperse it to the correct personnel.
  • Review and determine weekly reports to ensure each student remains on track for successful completion of the program.
  • Identify and report issues or practices that have the potential for negative or positive effects on these programs.
  • Travel as necessary to other Bison USA sites for training program development and management.


Instructing:

Organize and facilitate all driver orientation as it relates to compliance, safety, and this includes but is not limited to:

  • Identify training requirements to attain corporate goals.
  • Develop, organize, and deliver training and education programs in the appropriate format (classroom, computer-based, and simulator training.)
  • Research new industry developments and update programs.


What Will You Need?

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (four-year College or Technical School) – Preferred.
  • Relevant experience with Learning & Development and/or Safety.
  • Must have knowledge of State and Federal DOT Regulations.
  • 2 years + of experience in training and training program development - Preferred.
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License and medical certification card - Preferred.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact and motivate colleagues in a professional and positive manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
