Healthcare Superintendent - Sacramento, CA


Company Overview:

Goodall Brazier are partnered with a leading NorCal GC who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Healthcare Superintendent to join their team in Sacramento.


Position Overview:

The Healthcare Superintendent will oversee all aspects of healthcare construction projects, ensuring compliance with OSHPD (Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development) / HCAI (California Department of Health Care Access and Information) regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing healthcare facility builds and renovations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day site operations for healthcare construction projects.
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHPD/HCAI regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project alignment.
  • Oversee all subcontractors, laborers, and vendors on site.
  • Implement safety programs and ensure all staff follow OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as a superintendent, with at least 5 years in healthcare construction.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHPD/HCAI regulations and experience managing healthcare projects in California.
  • Proven track record of delivering healthcare projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
