Qualifications:


Required:

Degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field.

  • Experience working in Medication-Assisted Treatment Programs (MAT)
  • Experience with facilitating psychoeducational, processes, and/or cognitive groups.
  • Ability to assess situations and use good judgment.
  • Highly developed professional ethics and boundaries.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to use Motivational Interviewing techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage a heavy caseload and high volume of client-related documentation.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.


Preferred:

Masters degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field.

Experience in completing assessment and individual and group therapy to adults with addictive and mental health disorders.

Proficiency in Motivational Interviewing techniques and knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care practices.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the overall integration and success of the program by being a team player, accepting and offering guidance as appropriate, participating in ATCNE activities and training as requested, and by promoting organizational integration.
  • Provides high-quality individual counseling services to an assigned caseload to address further treatment planning, relapse prevention, family interventions, legal issues, physical health, mental health education, and housing needs.
  • Facilitates and documents group counseling in compliance with the core group structure of the program.
  • Maintain documentation of contacts with clients in a timely manner. This may include, but not be limited to, completion of psychosocial evaluations, progress notes of individual and group treatment, quarterly treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision.
  • Participate as a member of staff meetings, case conferences, and other in-service training.
  • Collaborate with other treaters and providers in coordinating clinical treatment, in the best interests of the client with his/her permission.
  • Maintain confidentiality, as required by law, with regard to information and material concerning client involvement in treatment. Appropriate release forms are obtained from the client as needed.
  • Completes required administrative documentation according to established time frames and formats. Works as directed with the billing/intake department to help maintain accurate client billing information.
  • Make referrals for auxiliary services as needed and provide needed documentation to outside agencies, as requested and with proper authorization.
  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures.


Hourly rate is commensurate with experience.
