Hoop Brothers is a basketball video production company. Our mission it to maximize our network and expertise in video production as a resource to players, coaches, and organizations to educate, build, and create more exposure around their brands.


We are looking for a results-driven, motivated, and energetic Video Editing and Content Creation Intern who is looking for an opportunity to grow and learn. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get their foot in the door in the sports industry while also contributing to Hoop Brothers’ next phase of expansion.


We believe this role offers more leadership opportunities than any other internship you’ll find. This internship is ideal for individuals who are passionate about visual storytelling, have a keen eye for detail, and are eager to learn and grow in the field of video production and content creation.


The Video Editing and Content Creation Intern, will help to execute on the day to day operations that will help progress our overall goals. Some of these tasks include but will not be limited to:


  • Creating graphics to post on our social medias
  • Editing and Creating Videos to post on our social media
  • Editing Highlight videos for players
  • Editing Top Plays
  • Posting Content that aligns with the algorithms behind social media
  • Getting our followers to engage with us on social media
  • Ability to look after and engage with all of our platforms


Our Video Editing and Content Creation Intern will have a community first mindset with the skills to grow and expand our community. Knowledge and love of the game of Basketball are a must We expect our Video Editing and Content Creation Intern to be motivated and comfortable to consistently complete and improve our strategies, and is excited about participating in training and professional development opportunities. This person will embrace collaboration and will be working closely with the leadership team and other interns.


The ideal candidate will embrace our culture (which is built on Fun, Family, Empowerment, Tenacity, and Collaboration) as well as our value system.


Skills:

  • Proficient in adding captions to videos
  • Skilled in audio treatment
  • Experienced in color correction and grading
  • Ability to research and identify trendy/hype songs for video edits
  • Knowledgeable in the use of digital effects and sound effects
  • Proficient in the use of transitions


About You:

  • Experienced in editing videos and creating graphics
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Google Drive/Docs/Sheets
  • Embraces a culture of rapid growth
  • Ability to build productive, positive, & professional relationships
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • A great attitude and eagerness to learn

Unpaid Internship Calendar: Dates to be discussed. College credit available. Adjusted start and end dates are available for special cases. 15 hours per week (flexible scheduling). The internship is ran on a project by project base with specific projects assigned, deadlines to finalize but flexibility on when you contribute to these projects as long as deadlines are met. Perfect schedule flexibility for students or anyone juggling multiple responsibilities outside of this internship.
