roger., an integrated technology and communications consultancy firm specializing in public affairs, public relations, marketing, branding, and crisis management, is looking for an energetic outreach analyst to join our assessment team with the U.S. Navy. This Washington, DC-based position will provide long-range strategic communication planning and assessment to our client.

Requirements

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Communication Assessment (Outreach Events): Compile broadcast, online and print news coverage of campaigns and events based on targeted search terms and conduct analysis to measure performance and effectiveness. Monitor and provide analysis on internal client owned social media pages and relevant external social media pages and event specific social traffic. Give recommendations based on historical data, social media best practices and knowledge of current social trends. Assessments will cover Navy Community Outreach program efforts, Blue Angels events, as well as Navy and Fleet Week activities
  • Planning: Inform strategic communication plans and messaging based on extensive research and analysis. Engage in communication integration and alignment efforts across various directorates and monitor tactics execution to capture lessons learned and best practices. Provide communication plan graphics and design support for outreach events and communication campaigns
  • Alignment: Promote outreach efforts' success by developing products to ensure messaging amplification across the relevant stakeholders. Products may include year in reviews and future year planning documents and presentations, input into field wide monthly communication documents and assessment products that highlight outreach specific programing for leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience in communication are required
  • Proficient in the use of all MS Office programs with advanced Excel experience
  • Demonstrated experience with communications research and assessments
  • Experience with media monitoring platforms (e.g. Sprinklr and Meltwater)
  • Ability to identify broad trends and specific findings, and leverage both on behalf of lessons learned to inform future communication efforts
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, including but not limited to: developing public affairs and/or communication plans based on research and analysis, identifying key audiences, designing and overseeing implementation of tactics, and producing briefings for leadership
  • Ability to translate broad concepts and complex processes into strategic messaging and talking points; ability to build logical, defensible arguments supported by clearly articulated premises
  • Very strong research, writing, and editing skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement strong methodological approaches to measure impact
  • Experience with defense and government entities is a plus
  • Active secret security clearance
