Job Summary:

Our client, located in the Everett/Revere area, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Manager with a background in catering and food services to join their team. This pivotal role is essential in addressing operational challenges and ensuring the seamless functioning of the company's catering and food services operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong understanding of catering and food service principles, coupled with exceptional organizational and managerial skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between department heads, corporate staff, and the commissary to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
  • Attend meetings and interface with corporate staff and department heads to address operational issues and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Coordinate with department heads to optimize workflow and ensure effective collaboration across all departments.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Coordinate catering and food service activities, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff, event planners, and vendors to execute catering events and food service operations efficiently.
  • Manage administrative tasks, such as billing, invoicing, and procurement, to support catering and food service operations.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.


Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CATERING OPERATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Catering, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in catering and food services management.
  • Proven experience in catering and food services management, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of catering and food service operations, including menu planning, food safety regulations, and customer service standards.
  • Certification in Food Safety and Sanitation, as well as Board of Health standards, preferred.
  • Proficiency in catering systems and the BEO (Banquet Event Order) process.
  • Proficient in project management, including Microsoft Project, and providing clear weekly, monthly, and annual reporting to track business progress, budget versus actuals, and other key performance indicators.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and catering software applications.
