Imperium Global is proud to represent a prominent heavy industrial services organization in its search for a Director of Operations. This pivotal role will drive operational excellence, ensuring the delivery of world-class services to a diverse and growing portfolio of clients across the industrial sector. Role Summary


As the Director of Operations, you will oversee the organization's full operational spectrum, including project delivery, resource allocation, safety, and continuous improvement. You will act as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, ensuring the organization achieves its financial and operational targets while maintaining its reputation for excellence.


Key Responsibilities


Operational Leadership:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and adherence to the highest industry standards.
  • Develop and implement scalable operational strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Oversee project management to ensure timely delivery, budget compliance, and client satisfaction.

Team and Resource Management:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team.
  • Oversee workforce planning and resource allocation to maximize productivity and maintain flexibility.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement robust processes to mitigate risks and drive compliance excellence.

Financial Oversight:

  • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and alignment with business goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance profitability through operational improvements and cost management.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring service excellence and responsiveness to client needs.
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization in representing its capabilities and values to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to support growth through operational input in tendering and contract delivery.

Strategic Contribution:

  • Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team to inform decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Lead initiatives to modernize and innovate operational processes and technologies.


Key Requirements


Experience:

  • A proven track record of senior operational leadership within the heavy industrial services, construction, or related sectors.
  • Key experiences are EPC, Maintenance, Turnarounds, Specialty Services.
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-site operations with diverse teams and complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational performance improvements in safety, efficiency, and quality.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety, regulatory, and compliance frameworks within the industrial services space.
  • Proficiency in change management and process optimization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or a related field is essential.
  • An advanced degree (MBA or similar) is highly desirable.
