NETWORK TEST TECHNICIAN - GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO.
The Select Group is seeking a Network Test Technician to help support one of our top clients in the communications industry. For this role, we are looking for a network tech with good experience in cabling and creating network diagrams to join their team and assist in the network installation efforts for their new lab facility. This is an onsite position and will be required to work onsite in Greenwood Village, CO. If this is something you are interested in, please apply today
NETWORK TEST TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of Network Installation experience
- Cable Layering and Labeling experience
- Proficient knowledge of Coax, Fiber, and/or ethernet cable splicing
- Knowledge of related industry specifications and standards SCTE, ANSI, IEEE, etc.
- Good knowledge of basic CATV devices and outside plant
- Experience with S-parameters, BER, or MER requirements
- Proficient knowledge with Amplifiers and/or line extenders
- Experience in SharePoint for documentation of network diagrams
NETWORK TEST TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Layer 1 Installing/layering/labeling cable inside the lab facility and completing network diagrams + documentation within SharePoint for network configurations and to set up tests in order to better understand what connects to the other
- Assists in the planning, forecasting, evaluation, and reports results of products submitted for qualification.
- Responsible for initiating, coordinating testing with other teams, tracking and completing documentation of assigned projects.
- Participates in evaluation planning, design and engineering of lab enhancements.
- Integrates communication industry architectures, topologies, hardware and software into complete network configurations.
- Evaluates new products, makes recommendations for improvement.
- Assists in the development and documentation of technical standards.
- Implements approved methods of procedure.
- Works on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding CATV planning, configuration and optimization.
