VizRT Technician

The VizRT Technician possesses a full knowledge of the VizRT products and wiil serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical parties. They will provide Viz support to clients, be involved in the hardware customization and technical support of VizRT products, and solve and troubleshoot problems related to streamlining production operations. The VizRT Technician will need a strong understanding of the live production and broadcast environment. We are seeking someone who possesses confidentiality, excellent organisational and note-taking skills, and reliability. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and test of graphics systems at customer sites.
  • Training of customers in the use of Vizrt products.
  • Troubleshooting issues with Real-Time graphics platforms.
  • Responding with a high degree of urgency to the needs and requests of clients
  • Troubleshooting and resolving all problems encountered with hardware and software
  • Replacing or repairing defective parts and equipment
  • Monitoring and removing virus, spyware and other non-authorized software
  • Sharing on-call duty occasionally during non-traditional offices hours
  • Completing special projects and other duties as requested
  • Being aware of developing technologies within the industry and applying those to a live broadcast environment.
  • Providing workstation support
  • Ability to prioritize, be attentive to details and provide exceptional customer service
  • Troubleshooting data network routers, switches, firewalls, and circuits
  • Installation and deployment of systems, networks, and structured cabling within a broadcast facility
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of all aspects of television production and working within a live production environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Passport required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of VizRT experience
  • 3+ years in IT
  • Knowledge of standard MS Office suite, Visio, and AutoCAD.
  • Configuration and support of various desktop/server operating systems
  • Virtual infrastructure/computing support
  • Installation and support of varied broadcast/production software
  • Knowledge of Broadcast consoles and related studio equipment

Substantial experience in any of the following applications:

  • ROSS Xpression
  • Brainstorm
  • Ventuz
  • ChyronHego
