An energetic and inventive Aerospace Engineer to join our team, dedicated to developing groundbreaking aerospace technologies. Requirements
- Designing and executing pioneering aerospace projects, focusing on innovative propulsion systems, spacecraft structures, and life support mechanisms
- Leading collaborative efforts with dynamic teams to blend novel technologies into robust and functional aerospace designs, tailored for groundbreaking missions
- Managing the full spectrum of the design process, from ideation and prototyping to testing and final execution, ensuring projects are both thrilling and technically sound
- Conducting comprehensive engineering analyses across mechanical, thermal, and aerodynamic domains to refine and perfect spacecraft designs
- Initiating cutting-edge research and development activities to discover new materials and engineering methods that elevate the performance and sustainability of our aerospace systems
- Implementing detailed testing and validation regimes, employing both simulated environments and actual flight conditions to guarantee system reliability and safety
- Coordinating with mission planners and strategic partners to align engineering projects with broader organizational goals and visionary objectives
- Cultivating a skilled and enthusiastic team of engineers, promoting a workspace that's innovative, collaborative, and dedicated to continual learning and improvement
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in innovative aerospace design and development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of innovative engineering solutions in the aerospace sector
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, capable of leading and integrating within multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented and systematic in managing complex technical and project documentation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in fast-paced environments
- Proactive and team-focused, with a keen interest in participating in diverse projects that drive forward the mission of an exciting and growing aerospace company
- Ability to multitask and navigate the dynamic challenges of a fast-evolving aerospace environment with enthusiasm and adaptability
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling tools, such as SolidWorks or NX, applied to the design of cutting-edge aerospace systems
- Expertise in structural and system analysis, including the use of manual calculations and finite element analysis (FEA), to ensure the integrity and performance of designs
- Experience in leading and executing hardware testing protocols, demonstrating a hands-on approach to engineering challenges
- Creative experience in aerospace structure design and manufacturing, with a knack for thinking outside the box to overcome engineering hurdles
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, required for involvement in certain sensitive or classified aerospace projects
- Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline, enriching the team with specialized knowledge and innovative thinking
- Knowledge of project management and production systems, such as PLM and ERP, facilitating seamless integration of design and manufacturing workflows
- Programming skills to enhance design automation, data analysis, and system optimization in aerospace engineering projects
- Familiarity with advanced material science and fabrication techniques, contributing to the development of next-generation aerospace components
