We are seeking a skilled Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal drafting, research, and various areas of law, including Family Law, Estate Planning, and Immigration Law.
Duties
- Conduct legal research on various case law and statutes
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings
- Manage client communication and provide updates on case progress
- Assist in the preparation of estate planning documents
- Handle administrative tasks related to case management
- Utilize legal databases such as Lexis-Nexis for research purposes
- Negotiate settlements under attorney supervision
Experience
The successful candidate should possess:
- Proficiency in legal drafting and research techniques
- Knowledge of Family Law, Estate Planning, Immigration Law, Securities Law, and Personal Injury Law
- Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis or other legal research tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
