Job Title: Plant Engineer - Industrial Bakery

Location: Kissimmee, Florida

Position Overview: As the Plant Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our fast paced large scale industrial bakery facility. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of engineering and maintenance to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Manage the maintenance team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the condition of machinery, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting production output or product quality.
  • Oversee capital projects, including equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Plant Engineer or similar role in a fast paced large scale industrial manufacturing or bakery environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, including ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging machines.
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and ERP software.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices relevant to industrial manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
