Greenvolt is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team. The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our US business operations. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong grasp of US GAAP standards and a proven track record in financial reporting and compliance.


Key accountabilities


Financial controlling and reporting

  • Work closely with development teams to track project budgets/ forecasts and project expenditures on a monthly basis.
  • Analyze projects expenditures to ensure accurate allocation of costs and perform reconciliations of accruals and cash.
  • Manage and maintain databases of key contracts within the US, including operational leases, intercompany service agreements, intercompany loan agreements, etc.
  • Review statutory and consolidated financial statements (including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements) to ensure compliance with US accounting principles, group policies and other internal/external financial standards.
  • Support the preparation of the group’s reporting packages on a quarterly basis, working closely with the accounting teams.


Financial management and continuous improvement

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support decision-making and business planning.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and support the preparation of financial presentations for the Board.
  • Collaborate with the US and Group finance teams to develop and implement financial policies, procedures and tools to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets.
  • Participate in M&A transactions, supporting financial and tax due diligence process
  • Collaborate with Finance Manager to develop financial strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Support Finance Manager on different topics related to finance matters


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CFA, CPA or similar certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A, financial consulting or accounting, preferably within the renewable energy sector or a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting; IFRS knoweldge is a plus.
  • Self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; attention to details.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
