Job Description: Payments Operations Manager


Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Payments Operations Manager to oversee our organization's payment processes. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all domestic and international transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, while also identifying opportunities for process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of global payment systems and regulations, as well as strong leadership skills to manage the payment operations team.


Key Responsibilities:


Payment Processing: Oversee daily payment transactions, ensuring that all domestic and international payments, including digital tokens, are processed in a timely and accurate manner.


Compliance: Ensure that all payment activities comply with relevant local and international regulations and internal policies. Implement AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) standards.


Risk Management: Monitor transaction risks and develop strategies to mitigate fraud and financial risks associated with payments.


Team Management: Lead and develop the payment operations team, providing coaching and training to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.


Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate current payment processes and systems to identify and implement enhancements that will increase efficiency and reduce errors.


Reporting: Create regular reports on payment processing performance, transaction volume, and error rates. Provide insights and recommendations for operational improvement.


Vendor Management: Manage relationships with payment service providers, banks, and other partners to ensure optimal service levels.


Technical Collaboration: Work closely with IT and product teams to develop and implement payment system integrations and upgrades.


Customer Support: Assist customer support teams in resolving payment-related issues and providing excellent customer experience.


Project Management: Lead and participate in projects aimed at launching new payment solutions or expanding existing services.


Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

5+ years of experience in payments operations, financial services, or treasury management.

Strong understanding of global and domestic payment systems, including ACH, SEPA, SWIFT, and digital currencies.

Demonstrated knowledge of AML, KYC, and relevant compliance standards.

Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in payment management software and MS Office Suite.

We are looking to establish an office in Nevada but would consider applications from other west coast regions.
