  • Minimum of 5 years providing Tier 2 customer support for desktop computers, printers, and scanners.
  • Proficient in installing, troubleshooting, and supporting various desktop applications and operating systems, such as Windows OS, Office applications, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Skilled in installing and troubleshooting a wide range of computer hardware and software in networked and standalone setups.
  • Capable of resolving computer-related issues remotely and adept at addressing PC and peripheral-related problems over the phone.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
  • Experienced in setting up and troubleshooting 3270 emulation software.
  • Proficient in installing, diagnosing, and repairing computer hardware components like hard drives, RAM, processors, and various multimedia peripherals.
  • Knowledgeable in using imaging software to deploy desktop computers.
  • Experienced in providing VoIP phone support and VPN client assistance.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.


Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure software for user desktops and laptops, ensuring optimal operation.
  • Provide installation and support for mobile devices.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of network equipment, including switches and wireless access points.
  • Handle the installation or termination of network cabling.
  • Manage the imaging, configuration, and installation processes for user and specialized PCs.
  • Assist in deploying new software releases, updates, and hardware enhancements.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot software and hardware issues for users.
  • Offer Tier 2 technical support for end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems, identifying and resolving hardware and software problems.
  • Utilize scripts and checklists for effective problem-solving, escalating issues to Tier 3 support when necessary.
  • Document technical issues and their resolutions thoroughly.
  • Conduct user training as needed, ensuring users are proficient in new technologies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing user needs and concerns promptly.
  • Engage in the testing and implementation of new desktop solutions, including prototype development.
  • Ensure the operational readiness of printers and peripheral devices.
  • Support the technological needs of specialized environments, including server and PC management, software installation, policy enforcement, security assessments, and inventory management.
