Hourly Rate Range: $26.44 - $31.25 based on skills and experience

 

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in managing and optimizing the supply chain processes within our organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the flow of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient operations. The Logistics Coordinator collaborates with various departments, including procurement, sales, and warehouse, to streamline logistics activities, resolve issues, and enhance overall performance.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Logistics Management:

  • Plan, execute, and oversee the daily logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Coordinate with carriers and suppliers to schedule and track shipments.
  • Manage the routing and scheduling of deliveries to ensure on-time performance.


Documentation and Compliance:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding logistics and transportation.
  • Handle and resolve any issues related to shipping documentation, including customs documentation if applicable.


Supplier and Carrier Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with vendors and carriers to optimize cost and service levels.
  • Address and resolve any issues or delays with suppliers or carriers.


Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement best practices and optimize logistics processes to streamline operations.
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.


Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to shipments or deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers to provide updates and information.


Problem Resolution:

  • Proactively address and resolve any logistics-related issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CLTD) are a plus.
  • Experience using NetSuite.
  • Bilingual


Work Environment

The working environment for this position is a mix of an office environment and a warehouse plant environment. While you will be working at a desk, your responsibilities will require regular presence on our plant floor. The plant working conditions include loud machinery and equipment. Plant presence requires attention to surroundings to uphold safety guidelines and standards. Dress requirements include long pants that cover legs in entirety and long hair to be pulled and tied back.
