Title: Mechanical Engineer - Plant and Project Engineering

Location: Kingsport, TN 37660

Duration: 06 Months Contract (with Further Possible extension)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multi-discipline engineering team on plant and project engineering tasks
  • Perform mechanical engineering analyses for systems such as steam, hydraulic, pumping/piping, HVAC, machinery design, process cooling/heating, and storage/vessel design
  • Conduct facility inspections and make recommendations for modifications
  • Develop construction plans and schedules, ensuring resource availability
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and cost constraints
  • Create detailed project proposals, scopes of work, and estimates
  • Review and approve design packages from suppliers and design firms
  • Execute commissioning plans and maintain documentation
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of work and design

Required Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of CADD tools (AutoCAD, Pipe Stress Analysis, Vessel Design)
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, API)
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Principles of Project Management

Experience:

  • Typically, 6+ years' experience in Mechanical Engineering and Design

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Closely related degrees may be considered
