**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant/CNA/Med Tech to join our healthcare team. Providing direct patient care under the supervision of medical staff, ensuring patients comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and good collaboration and teamwork skills. Will have an in-depth understanding of patient care and policies, fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities, and familiarity obtaining medication prior authorizations.


**Responsibilities:**

- Take and record vital signs

- Order medication pre-authorizations. Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete.

- Scheduling appointments and answering phones.

- Help patients with mobility and transportation within the facility as needed.

- Provide emotional support to patients and their families as needed.

- Ensure patient rooms are clean, organized, maintained.

- Sorting, stocking, and monitoring medication inventory samples.

- Responding to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions and referring various inquiries to the appropriate provider.

- Knowledge of medical documentation practices

- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation

- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to patient care

- Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA

- Assist staff with as needed

- Other administrative tasks as needed


**Requirements:**

- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG, and medical coding systems

- Experience in medical office procedures. Mental Health preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance companies and patients.

- Other administrative duties as needed.


**Qualifications:**

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNA / Med Tech / Pharm Tech
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding systems
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and software
