Podcast Producer/Showrunner (Women's Health Podcast)
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Podcast Producer/Showrunner to lead the production of a groundbreaking women's health podcast. This role involves overseeing all aspects of production, from guest booking to post-production coordination, and ensuring the seamless delivery of engaging content in both audio and video formats.
Responsibilities
1. Guest Booking and Pre-Production:
- Source and book celebrity guests and medical experts relevant to women's health topics.
- Conduct pre-interviews to gather information and prepare for episode scripting.
2. Script Development and On-Set Management:
- Craft episode scripts and main points in collaboration with the host(s) and creative team.
-Be present on set to oversee production, working closely with the engineer and Director of Photography to ensure high-quality audio and visually appealing shots.
3. Post-Production Oversight
- Work with the editor to refine and finalize episodes, including video clean-up, content edits, and audio mixing.
- Review first passes of episodes, provide content notes, and ensure all feedback is addressed in the final version.
4. Content Distribution and Marketing
- Deliver show assets to YouTube and other platforms, coordinating with the social media and marketing teams.
- Oversee the production, social media, marketing, and PR efforts for each episode, maximizing visibility and engagement.
5. Network Calls and Operations Management:
- Conduct bi-weekly Network calls, focusing on advertising opportunities, guest swapping, and performance reviews.
- Manage Google Drive, emails, casting outreach, and other operational tasks to ensure smooth production workflows.
6. Creative Asset Management:
- Create and manage episodic social media assets, including graphics and clips, to promote each episode effectively.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in podcast production and showrunning, with a focus on health or wellness content preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple tasks and teams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with guests, team members, and external partners.
- Proficiency in audio and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Final Cut Pro), with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Knowledge of social media marketing strategies and content distribution platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- A passion for women's health issues and a commitment to producing informative and empowering content.
