IT Technical Support (Site IT Operations)


Site IT Operations role supporting a plant manufacturing environment and being a part of the manufacturing process, seeing a car built from the ground up. The IT operations group is responsible for supporting production at an OEM assembly plant, responsible for hardware support, application support, infrastructure support, all IT operation that run the manufacturing plant. No two days are going to be the same, every day is going to be unique, 5 million square feet facility, lots of places to explore and see a lot of different things in a manufacturing environment


Responsibilities:

  • Performing health checks, checking screens, and doing walks to ensure that the IT systems are healthy and running correctly
  • Monitor and work on tickets that come in through the ticket system, including break fix type tickets, and another section of the ticket system where people can request new PC or printers, different types of tasks where you could be configuring something new or fixing something existing.
  • Provide radio support - will carry a Motorola radio and respond to any calls that come in. The radio support calls are usually more time critical
  • The number of tickets every day – volume and complexity will vary, so cannot provide a specific number
  • Interaction level with the team – will support the day shift, along with 1-2 other IT team members (they will help train the selected contractor). There is a lot of interaction with different levels of people (from the assembly line to the plant manager and people in between)


Requirements:

  • Education - Bachelor’s Degree or tech school degree is required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience - experience working with PC’s and printers and technology
  • Android and Apple operating system experience are a nice to have


Top 3 Skills:

  • Experience with various types of IT hardware (they do a lot of phones, tablets, radios, scanners, printers, PC)
  • Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Working well with others/in a team environment


Location: Wentzville, MO | Onsite (Monday to Friday - 7AM to 3PM)

Duration: 5-month W2 contract
