Position Overview:


The Superintendent will play a critical role in the successful execution of our commercial construction projects. You will be the on-site leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process from groundbreaking to project completion. This role requires a seasoned professional who can manage complex projects with multiple moving parts, ensuring that every phase is executed to the highest standards of quality and safety.


Given the nature of our projects, you will be required to travel extensively—up to 80% of the time—to various job sites, with extended stays that could last several months. Your ability to adapt to different environments and work effectively with diverse teams will be crucial to your success in this role.


Finally, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers on-site, representing the company and ensuring that their expectations are not only met but exceeded. Your ability to manage customer relationships, address concerns, and provide regular updates will be key to maintaining our reputation for delivering elite construction services.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Site Supervision: Lead and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and project success.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain strict quality control measures, ensuring all work meets company standards and customer expectations.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address potential issues or delays, developing solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with customers, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of project progress, changes, and issues, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.


Qualifications:


  • 5-8+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a strong emphasis on post-tension concrete projects.
  • Utilize your experience with post-tension concrete to guide project execution and ensure structural integrity.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods, particularly in relation to post-tension concrete.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members, and subcontractors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and minimizing delays.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of the project meet or exceed company and customer expectations.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools, including scheduling software, project management platforms, and digital documentation systems.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, with a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and best practices.
