We are working with an industry leader in the automotive aftermarket sector who is seeking a Senior Director of SIOP to join their dynamic team. This role is critical in driving the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process, ensuring alignment between demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, expertise in supply chain optimization, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency and meet business objectives. The Senior Director of SIOP will lead and continuously improve the Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning (SIOP) process with the critical objectives to consistently meet or exceed customer delivery expectations, and for driving sustainable improvements in forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and E&O costs.


Position Description:

  • Develop and lead the SIOP function. (People, Processes, Systems and Organizational Engagement)
  • Facilitate monthly SIOP meetings with cross-functional teams to review and analyze demand and supply data, identify risks and opportunities, and develop action plans to effectively address them.
  • Develop accurate demand forecasts based on order trends, POS data, market intelligence, customer date/insights, and Sales input.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to SIOP, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, customer fill rates, revenue attainment, and OTD.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve SIOP processes and systems.



Background Required:

  • BS/BA in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years SIOP experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in a high SKU count business serving large US retailers.
  • Experience leading successful SIOP implementations.
  • Proven track record of driving major improvements in SIOP processes that yield significant sustainable improvements in customer delivery performance and inventory turnover.
  • Advanced knowledge of SIOP processes, principles, and best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of advanced planning systems (Kinaxis, John Galt, Logility, SAP, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and with stakeholders at all levels.
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is preferred.
