Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning to join our dynamic team. This critical role is responsible for driving the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process, ensuring alignment between demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, expertise in supply chain optimization, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency and meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the SIOP function, including people, processes, systems, and organizational engagement.
  • Facilitate monthly SIOP meetings with cross-functional teams to review and analyze demand and supply data, identify risks and opportunities, and develop action plans to effectively address them.
  • Develop accurate demand forecasts based on order trends, POS data, market intelligence, customer data/insights, and Sales input.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to SIOP, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, customer fill rates, revenue attainment, and OTD.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve SIOP processes and systems.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years SIOP experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in a high SKU count business serving large US retailers.
  • Experience leading successful SIOP implementations.
  • Proven track record of driving major improvements in SIOP processes that yield significant sustainable improvements in customer delivery performance and inventory turnover.
  • Advanced knowledge of SIOP processes, principles, and best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of advanced planning systems (Kinaxis, John Galt, Logility, SAP, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and with stakeholders at all levels.
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is preferred.
