Role Description- Operations and Customer Success Lead


As our operations, account and customer success teams grow and change, we need a leader to steer the operations team and our SaaS subscription product, Clearbox Source. A key component of the role will be to lead the Source team as new functionality is deployed to help build the new process, ensure our customers continue to receive excellent service and help drive efficiencies in customer delivery and success.  


Additionally, this role will work with our Clearbox Source customers and engineering team to maximize use of the product and identify opportunities for new functionality. As the full suite of the product comes online, this role will continue to grow with a mix of delivery operations, customer success, account management and product leadership, based on the skills and desire to shape the role. This is a unique opportunity to touch multiple areas of the business, building both Marketplace.city and your skills.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead Operations and Customer Success team for Clearbox Source 
  • Lead the customer rollout and onboarding to new functionality for Clearbox Source
  • Ensure the customer success team is able to respond to new requests from customers in a timely manner with a high level of professionalism and attentiveness. 
  • Work with COO, Customer Success team on customer account management.
  • Lead onboarding and training of new Clearbox Source customers and their users. 
  • Work with engineering team to document, prioritize, test and deploy new product features and functionality.
  • Work with Marketing and Business Development teams create and manage content for onboarding new cities and promoting best practices, success stories, case studies and capturing testimonials of our impact on our government partners. 
  • Anything else you want to do that helps us grow Marketplace.city


Position Requirement:


  • Experience in customer success, account management, operations, or market research a plus.
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus
  • Desire to build or expand accounts and processes.
  • Comfortable working with and organizing data.
  • High organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Comfortable with new technology and technology concepts
  • Presentation, writing and speaking skills.
  • Curiosity for the future of cities and the use of technology to deliver a better quality of life.
  • Experience working with or in state and local government is a plus.
  • Knowledge of or experience in sourcing and procurement processes is a plus.
  • Comfortable with pace and change of startup and small/growth business.
  • Position located in Chicago, IL with potentially some travel; Position is hybrid. We are generally in the office a few days a week or as needed for training/meeting etc.
