Engineering Project Scheduler

We seek an Engineering Project Scheduler to create and oversee critical path plans and schedules for multiple EPC Engineering projects.

You will use your expertise in cost engineering, planning, and scheduling, adapt standard techniques within these areas, and have the ability to modify established cost engineering, planning, and scheduling methods.

Schedule Management and Analysis:

  • Analyzes and interprets complex project scope documents.
  • Determines methods and techniques for specific schedules.
  • Prepares and oversees project milestone schedules and summary charts.
  • Reviews trend analyses, budget updates and recommendations for corrective action to assure compliance with company and client requirements
  • Reviews and updates short-cycle schedules, resolving conflicts.
  • Reviews short-cycle schedule impacts and prepares CPM (Critical Path Method) schedule analysis.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborates with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and clients.
  • Participates in proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Conducts schedule review meetings and interactive whiteboard sessions with clients and disciplines.

Forecasting and Risk Management:

  • Oversees project estimate and schedule integration for cash flow forecasting.
  • Performs risk analysis and develops contingency plans.
  • Prepares the Performance Measurement Summary to evaluate the utilization of actual man-hours versus budget
  • Advises project management and clients on schedule impacts and trends.

Performance Measurement and Reporting:

  • Reviews performance measurement reports, forecasts, and studies.
  • Prepares schedule analysis reports and performance measurement summaries.
  • Analyzes estimated quantities, man-hours, and cost data for project plan development.

Supervision and Oversight:

  • Supervises claims analyses and negotiations.
  • Oversees the preparation and input of schedule data into project control systems.
  • Ensures compliance with internal and client procedures and objectives, reviewing deviations with the Project Controls Manager.
  • Plans, schedules, coordinates, and oversees the work of all Project Controls activities at the project level.

Qualifications and Experience:

Four-year technical degree ((or equivalent working knowledge/experience).

10-15 years related experience
