As a Senior Administrative Assistant for the Women & Newborn unit at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our team. Your daily responsibilities will include providing advanced clerical and administrative support, primarily assisting senior leaders. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet and direct patients, family members, visitors, physicians, staff, and other customers courteously.
  • Serve as primary contact between staff, physicians, vendors, and the public.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and neat work environment; provide prompt responses and follow-ups.
  • Offer high-level administrative support to executive staff, including managing calendars, appointments, meeting agendas, travel, and reimbursement arrangements.
  • Proofread and edit materials; prepare and maintain confidential communications, documents, and contracts.
  • Assist vice presidents with correspondence, announcements, policies, reports, and meeting preparations.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines; provide clerical support by maintaining files, scheduling meetings, and answering phones.
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including coordinating calendars, emails, purchasing, accounts payable, and customer service.
  • Answer telephones promptly and courteously; handle copying, scanning, faxing, and information distribution.
  • Coordinate presentations, meetings, and travel arrangements to ensure successful events.


Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, 40hours per week, Days


Location:

  • Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital- 933 E Pierce St, Council Bluffs, IA


Salary:

  • Starting rate of $20.00 and may increase based on work history/experience


Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 3 plus years of administrative experience, preferably supporting leadership in a large organization required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills for effective communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
  • Strong skills in report preparation, record keeping, and presentation layout.
