Personal Injury Paralegal

Our Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated and organized paralegal to join our dynamic team. We are committed to providing exceptional representation to individuals who have suffered personal injuries due to negligence. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our personal injury cases.

Responsibilities:

Conduct initial client interviews to assess the merits of potential cases.

Gather and organize client information, medical records, police reports, and other relevant evidence.

Prepare chronologies of events, summaries of key evidence, and legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.

Assist with the discovery process, including drafting interrogatories and requests for documents.

Schedule depositions, court appearances, and other legal proceedings.

Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed on case progress and addressing their concerns.

Maintain and organize case files electronically and in hard copy.

Manage case deadlines and calendars.

Conduct legal research and data entry.

Communicate with insurance companies and other involved parties.

Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including witness preparation.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a personal injury law firm.

Strong understanding of personal injury law and legal terminology.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in legal technology and software (e.g., case management systems, Microsoft Office Suite).

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Compassionate and empathetic, able to interact effectively with clients facing difficult situations.

Strong ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality.
