Software Engineering Project Lead

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the Design, development, and modification of the software applications/solutions
• Plan and execute the end-to-end delivery of the product and solution under the delivery cycle
• Proactively communicate the status to the department and the business executives. Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for system architecture and design.
• Review the solution design/strategy with the software development head and propose the improvements/innovations required for the application/product
• Provide technical guidance to IT Staff to plan and execute projects and follow the best practices for the software development lifecycle. Ensure that the IT Staff has appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
• Tracking and reporting the status of projects on various teams, collaborate with business analyst and project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Serve as the development team point of contact in all client meetings that have implemented the company’s products
• Document technical specifications, system configurations, and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
• Define, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspective
• Evolve the existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed
• Provide proactive support and resolutions to the product bugs
• Mentor other engineers in the team
Experience, Education and Certification Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C# and .NET framework. Proficient in C# language features and best practices.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
• Understanding of micro-services-oriented architecture and REST APIs
• Experience in Azure Cloud Services
• Experience in performing design and code reviews, and overseeing application systems, data workflow, logical processes, and system interfaces.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server
Preferred
• Prior experience with mentoring/managing team members
• Understanding of Azure PaaS and IaaS services
• Understanding of security protocols and products such as of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth
• Experience with various versions of the .NET Framework, .NET Core, and .NET 5/6/7.
• Experience with web development using ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, and Web API.
• Experience with Entity Framework (EF) Core or other ORM tools.
• Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
