About the Role:

Our client is seeking a talented Full-Stack Developer for an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity. This role involves modernizing a legacy application and transitioning from a C-based system to a React and REST API-based architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both frontend and backend technologies and be ready to lead and contribute to a dynamic project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modernization: Lead the end-to-end migration of a legacy application (R&D) from a C-based system to React and REST APIs.
  • Development: Focus on backend development with hands-on coding, while also troubleshooting and making necessary changes to frontend code.
  • Documentation: Document and review code, ensuring it meets the highest standards.
  • SQL Querying: Perform SQL-based querying and ensure efficient database interactions.
  • Project Leadership: Act as a lead developer while actively participating in the development process.
  • Cloud Experience: Utilize cloud technologies to enhance and sustain the application throughout its lifecycle.
  • Collaboration: Work with both onshore and offshore teams, with a majority focus on offshore collaboration.
  • Innovation: Architect solutions, bring forward new ideas, and take initiative in problem-solving and project execution.

Required Skills:

  • Technologies:
  • Frontend: Experience with React; Angular is a plus.
  • Backend: Proficiency in Java (latest version) and Spring Boot (latest version).
  • Database: Strong SQL knowledge and experience.
  • Cloud: Proven experience with cloud platforms and managing cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience:
  • 7-9 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in modernizing legacy systems and taking products through their entire lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with both frontend and backend development.
  • Qualities:
  • Ability to architect solutions and lead development efforts.
  • Eager to learn, adapt, and take initiative.
  • Strong project experience, particularly in modernization projects.
