APS Building Services, a family-owned company with 4 locations in Texas is hiring an Account Manager for their Houston location Great career opportunity



Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years successful experience in the HVAC, Automation or Plumbing industry and a minimum of 2 years of sales and estimating experience in the HVAC, Automation or Plumbing Industry.



Education / Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Vocational/Technical school preferred.



Position Overview:

This position's primary function is to ensure high customer satisfaction by instilling APS company Mission, Vision, and Core Values. This role requires the Account Manager to develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers. Requires coordination and communication with and between APS department managers to achieve the customers goals. May be required to be accessible at extended hours. Works under minimal supervision. This position reports to the Sales Manager.




Responsibilities:

  • Reports for duty on time, ready to work, at assigned work location, on a daily basis.
  • Accurately and timely meet customers request with proposals and other services that APS provides.
  • Maintain current relationships with customers
  • Build new customer relationships.
  • Drive new Preventive Maintenance (PM) contracts, focusing on long-term value for clients and the company.
  • Accountable for making annual sales goal.
  • Participate in industry associations to keep APS name in front of customers
  • Meets with Sale Manager weekly to report/discuss job progress, issues/conflicts to determine need for upper management involvement.
  • Manage flow and transmittal of wireless job files to assure timely billing; may be daily or weekly, as appropriate.
  • Review PM contracts monthly for renewal and profitability.
  • Obtain customer feedback and make customers aware regarding APS service capabilities.
  • Attend company events and build the APS culture
  • Provide service team with all information needed to perform jobs needed to be completed.
  • Monitor D-Board and know your customer's needs, sub-contract jobs going on, PM’s taking place, rentals, and customers concerns.
  • Determine cause of all jobs with less than 30% profitability. Review and identify reason as well as corrective measures to take in future.
  • Support Sales team as necessary.
