Role Description

MetaWorld Civil Consulting is currently seeking a qualified licensed Professional Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate understands the Engineering Design/Submittal process in Florida and can perform all tasks required to execute a project, including engineering analysis/design, plans production, and ancillary administrative duties. In this position, the successful candidate will have experience in public infrastructure and civil site design and be proficient in pavement design, stormwater design (hydrology and hydraulics), utility systems design, and pump station design. The ideal candidate should understand what details will be required with different types of projects and should be capable of plans production. We seek a candidate who exhibits knowledge of the design and construction process and can perform design tasks with minimal instruction.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Required)
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Florida (Required)
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Experience in design and permitting public and private projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D and StormWise (fka ICPR)
  • Knowledge in PONDS, Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis, EPANet, BMP Trains and Microsoft Office Suite software.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze survey reports, maps, charts, exhibits, diagrams and other data to design new projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of final design plans, detailed drawings, and project specifications.
  • Completing and submitting all permit applications to the appropriate agencies and ensuring projects are compliant.
  • Review construction plans, perform horizontal and vertical roadway alignment calculations, and utility research and coordination.
  • Coordinate efforts of Sub-Consultants such as surveyors, environmentalists and geotechnical services for the preparation of design documents.
  • Use design software to create project drawings.
  • Review design calculations for stormwater management systems, traffic, water/ wastewater utility systems, hydraulic and hydrology calculations, force main/lift station calculations, sanitary sewer pipe sizing, water distribution calculations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
