Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of refrigeration technicians to ensure the smooth operation of the industrial freon and ammonia-based refrigeration systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration systems for both internal technicians and contractors.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate refrigeration activities and support overall warehouse operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards related to refrigeration systems.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate refrigeration staff to enhance their skills and knowledge and adhere to company policies.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to reduce costs and enhance productivity.


Responsibilities:

  • 8+ years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician, with a focus on both ammonia and freon-based systems.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing refrigeration teams in a warehouse or cold-storage facility.
  • In-depth knowledge of refrigeration principles, equipment, and systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial refrigeration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, understand a commitment to a 24/7 operation and handle multiple priorities.
  • Industrial refrigeration systems certification preferred.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System preferred.
