Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager/VP with a background in custom metal fabrication, particularly within the mining sector but industrial background as a whole. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management expertise, a thorough understanding of metal fabrication processes, and a proven track record of success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
We are also open to seeing people who have spent time working for Industrial General Contractors in the field and are looking for a more 50/50 split being in the office. Ideal candidates would have experience in the industrial space as a whole.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure alignment with their expectations.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and effectively communicate project progress to key stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage all project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency and performance.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement proactive measures to mitigate project risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering strong relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Evaluate project performance against established metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Can have experience as a PM working for local GCs with industrial background i.e (steel, tanks, piping, etc.)
- Proven experience working with an Industrial General Contractor (GC) for projects within the mining industry is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
