Your Role

As a Senior Project Engineer at Clayco, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of design and construction projects. Your responsibilities will include overseeing scheduling and subcontractor management, cost reporting, and project closeout. You will also have the opportunity to lead smaller projects, mentor junior team members, and progress into a Project Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project team to establish a Project Chart of Accounts
  • Develop project site logistics plan in coordination with Project Superintendent
  • Support in managing subcontractors and understanding project contracts
  • Facilitate submittal, change order, and payment request processes
  • Contribute to project cost generation and Job Cost Report preparation
  • Analyze and forecast Total Cost Projection reports on a quarterly basis
  • Monitor staff training, project labor, and equipment needs
  • Aid in bidding projects and implement safety programs and quality initiatives
  • Ensure timely project closure and adherence to schedules

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in project management
  • Proficiency in construction principles, practices, and technology
  • Demonstrated leadership in successfully managing projects
  • Physical ability to navigate job sites and handle construction tasks
  • Capacity to lift heavy objects and work on elevated structures
