Technical Sales Representative (Alabama)
Our client stands at the forefront of designing and manufacturing premier electrical test
equipment and measurement instruments. Their extensive product lineup features insulation
testers, low-resistance ohmmeters, battery testers, and cable fault location devices. They cater
to a variety of industries including utilities, manufacturing, telecommunications, and building
services. Celebrated for their innovation and quality, they empower electrical professionals
globally in diagnosing and maintaining vital infrastructure, boosting operational efficiency and
ensuring safety.
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager
Territory Responsibility: Alabama, Mississippi, eastern Louisiana and western Tennessee (Must
reside within the territory)
OTE $150K-$170K, includes base salary, monthly commissions, company car and benefits.
Responsibilities
● Sales Focus: Direct sale of electrical test and measurement products to key markets
including Investor-Owned Utilities, Cooperatives/Municipalities, Power Plants,
Industrial/OEM, Electrical Contractors, Service Industry, and Government sectors.
● Customer Interaction: Engage extensively with customers within the territory to
understand needs and provide tailored solutions.
● Territory Management: Efficiently manage time and territory to maximize sales
opportunities and client engagement.
● Communication Skills: Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to
interpret non-verbal cues effectively to close sales.
● Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
● Education: Degree preferred; BSEE highly desirable.
● Experience: At least 4 years of experience in sales to electric utilities, apparatus
manufacturers, and heavy industrial facilities.
● Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, power
cables, motors, and protective relays.

● Independent Work: Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within
small teams.
● Multi-Tasking: Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and drive results effectively.
● Self-Direction: Ability to self-manage schedule and daily priorities with minimal
supervision.
● Organizational Skills: Strong organizational capabilities to manage workload and client
relationships.
Travel Requirements
● Travel: Up to 50% travel within the territory. A company vehicle will be provided.
