About the Role

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who can work in coordination with cross-functional teams to efficiently develop and maintain multiple brand websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new projects.


In this role, you'll keep up with security updates and make changes to WordPress sites on our WPEngine account as needed. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting plugin issues as updates are made, building new WordPress sites, and training users on key site features. Additional responsibilities are listed below.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing maintenance of email deliverability, web form functionality, & usability of WordPress sites
  • Serve as the lead technical contact for all WordPress sites maintained by Asen
  • Communicate with plugin authors, web hosting support, and other teams as needed to complete tasks
  • Revise, edit, proofread, & optimize web content
  • Integrate digital marketing tools into sites as needed
  • Work cross-functionally to enhance the overall user experience of our platforms
  • Own various design tasks involved in the web development lifecycle


Required Skills:

  • Proficient in HTML
  • Proficient in CSS and modern flex and grid layouts
  • Experience with GoDaddy and other domain registrars/DNS hosts required
  • Experience modifying child themes required
  • Experience building WordPress sites required
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite required
  • PS for website mockups
  • AI for SVG and vector graphics
  • Some experience using SCSS a plus
  • Experience building custom WordPress themes required
  • Some experience using and building WooCommerce sites a plus
  • Some experience using WooCommerce a plus
  • Some experience using Shopify a plus
  • Some experience using WPEngine a plus
  • Managing alerts, security patches, batch plugin updates
  • Attention to detail is a must


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Javascript/using libraries
  • Experience building WordPress plugins
  • Experience setting up conversions with WordPress, GTM, and GA4
  • Experience working in a brand or agency setting
