Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyze, and research eligibility errors to track root causes and assist in process improvement or retraining.
  • Proactively collaborate with team members, clinics, and revenue cycle training to educate and reduce future errors.
  • Utilize reports and internal software to monitor error patterns and make recommendations for corrections and process enhancements.
  • Identify and report trends related to registration errors and work with leadership to resolve issues.
  • Participate in developing plans to improve registration processes, focusing on reducing billing errors and enhancing patient experience.
  • Develop metrics and clear responsibilities to measure performance improvement and gather feedback from staff on process improvements.
  • Function as the primary trainer for onboarding new employees, services, or work tools, collaborating with leadership on resource allocation and developing training materials.
  • Review Experian worklists daily to address errors in patient check-in information and insurance messages promptly.
  • Analyze denial data to develop plans for process standardization, quality outcomes, and a positive work environment, and serve as a resource for revenue cycle personnel.
  • Perform registration duties, including registering patients in the electronic system, verifying eligibility, completing required documents, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain a spirit of teamwork and positive mentoring by actively assisting with implementing new procedures, contributing to department training, and supporting colleagues as needed while escalating ideas for improvement.


Schedule:

  • Flexible hours between 5am-8pm, Monday-Friday


Location:

  • Methodist Corporate Office- 825 S 169th St, Omaha, NE


Salary:

  • $16.50-$26.40


Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D.) required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with medical terminology, ICD, and CPT coding required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare insurance, billing, or operations required.
