About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Support Specialist to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients for radiology procedures and coordinate with referring providers and radiologists to ensure seamless care.
  • Procure and enter accurate registration information into our HIS/RIS system.
  • Schedule and transcribe radiology orders into RIS, ensuring timely and accurate communication with patients and providers.
  • Explain financial responsibilities to patients and collect co-insurance and/or deductibles as necessary.
  • Provide backup registration support for various clinics and ensure all paperwork is properly collated and distributed.
  • Manage work queues, ensuring timely completion of registration tasks and minimizing delays in claims processing.
  • Collaborate with technologists and physicians to facilitate quality patient care and assist with non-technical aspects of exams.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including image sharing, CD requests, and subpoena fulfillment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous medical reception experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with physicians, families, and healthcare workers.
  • Self-organization and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Positive and cheerful demeanor.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required.
