Title: State & Local Tax Supervisor

Salary: $110,000 to $130,000, excellent Bonus opportunity

Location: Shelton, CT


A highly successful global provider of valued customer solutions is seeking to hire a State and Local Tax Supervisor specializing in Accounting for Income Tax to play a key role in navigating the company through preparation and filing of state separate and combined corporate income and franchise tax returns for multiple domestic legal entities. Reporting directly to the Director of Tax, this is an exciting opportunity to provide meaningful tax preparation support on behalf of a highly regarded global business leader.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities for the Supervisor State & Local Tax Assist will include owning key nationwide state and corporate income and franchise tax nationwide.
  • Performing insightful research of various state and local tax matters and state tax law changes.
  • Providing essential support to quarterly state income tax related issues.
  • Ensuring accurate state apportionment schedules and state tax provision computations.
  • Partnering closely with state tax partners.
  • Being a data expert for various state income tax audits.
  • Opportunity of working on exciting corporate tax projects.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in accounting, CPA and/or MST preferred.
  • Public accounting experience desired.
  • 3 to 4 plus years’ experience in state income tax.
  • Tax research skills and an ability to take initiative on key issues.
  • OneSource Income Tax Experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
